Granular Carbon Filter Installation Instructions
Confirm all the parts are there.
Set in the Granular Carbon Filter.
Set the spacer bushing on top of Filter.
Screw on clear cartridge housing.- Do not use the extention when using Omni Brand model no. FRC1-D filter. Some other brand replacment filters are shorter and require the extention with o-ring.
- Remove aerator on bottom of filter assambly, so not to stop up aerator durring flushing.
- Turn on the cold water and set the selector knob to "FILTERED".
- Let the water run for 1 to 2 minutes to remove any loose carbon from filter.
- Return the slector knob to "UNFILTERED" and turn off water.
- Replace aerator on bottom of filter assambly.
- Set the date on the selector knob ahead 3 months to remind you when to change cartridge.
